RMA AGREEMENT FOR DEALERS / DISTRIBUTORS ONLY
Dear Customer,
During production and before delivery, our products are subject high quality checks. Despite these checks it is inevitable that some products will show a defect. We understand that RMA is an inconvenience for both parties so Point of View is putting all efforts in an efficient and prompt RMA handling.
We kindly ask you to pay close attention to the following RMA procedure. This will result in a quicker and more efficient handling of the RMA process. In case the procedure described here is not followed strictly, Point of View does not accept any responsibility for delays and/or damages resulting from such a delay.
1. Request an RMA Number
Obtain an RMA Request Form from our RMA department by sending an E-mail to : rma@pointofview-online.com
To obtain an RMA number please complete our RMA Request Form with all the information required (preferably in English) and send it by fax (+31(0)40-2629295) or E-mail (rma@pointofview-online.com) to our RMA department, together with a copy of the original invoice, proving that the products are still within the warranty-period.
Once your return has been approved, you will receive the RMA number along with specific return instructions by E-mail or fax. The RMA number is valid for a period of 30 calendar days after it has been issued. Returned shipments without a valid RMA number or returns received more than 30 days after the issuing date of the RMA number will be returned on customers’ expense. RMA numbers can not be extended or re-issued.
Once an RMA number has become invalid a new RMA number is to be requested.
Please make sure that an RMA number is always obtained from our RMA department, before returning defective goods.
Packages without RMA number or products returned without approval will be shipped back at customers’ expense.
Please make sure that the RMA number appears clearly on the outside of the package when goods are shipped back to Point of View.
2. RMA Returns
All RMA returns are to be sent “freight prepaid” within 30 days of the RMA number issuing date.
The shipper is responsible for transportation cost and insurance when returning products to Point of View. We strongly recommend RMA shipments to be returned using couriers that issue a tracking number and to insure the shipment against loss or damage. Freight collect shipments are not being accepted. Shipping & handling charges are not refundable.
All goods returned to Point of View shall be returned in suitable packaging in order to protect the goods against damage during transportation. Point of View can not be held responsible for any damage caused by unsuitable packing.
Products shall be returned in it’s original packaging with manuals, cables, accessories, etc.
3. Warranty
Unless otherwise mentioned on the price list or otherwise agreed, the warranty period offered is 3 years.
Upon arrival, the RMA/Returned products are being unpacked and counted. From this product count the shipper will receive a report for verification of the quantity.
In the next stage the products are being intensively tested to verify the defect and to determine if the product is still within its warranty coverage.
The customer receives a notification when products are tested as:
No Defect Found (NDF)
Out of Warranty
Warranty Void
NDF products will be returned on customers’ expense
Products with expired/voided warranty will be returned on customers’ expense or scrapped after approval of the customer.
Warranty coverage is considered null & void if there is evidence of the following:
Physical damage to the product.
Removal or defacement of the product’s serial number.
Any repair, modification, adjustment or installation of optional parts by any other party than Point of View.
Defect on Arrival
Products claimed defective within 14 days of receipt are considered DOA. These products will, upon return, immediately be replaced or credited at our discretion.
4. Error descriptions
All goods returned to Point of View shall have a proper error description, preferably in English. This way the problem can be immediately identified which will result in a quicker and more efficient RMA handling.
5. Return / exchange / replacement / credit
Repaired or replacement RMA items carry a warranty for only the remainder of warranty period from the date of the original invoice date.
In case of so called “End of Life” items (EOL) the exchange could take longer than 15 working days. Point of View will do its utmost to handle these items a.s.a.p.
Please be aware that different products might be subject to different warranties and may have different policies on exchange, replacement and/or credit. Point of View reserves the right to exchange products rather than to give credit and to give credit rather than to exchange within the warranty period. Our policies for the different products are as follows:
VGA Cards CREDIT CONDITION
Any customer that require RMA by creditinvoice must have a signed agreement with POV in forehand.
Products that are older than 24 months might be able to be repaired.
The customer will be informed about this and will be provided with the cost of repair. Upon acceptance of the repair by the customer, Point of View will charge the repair cost accordingly.
Products that are damaged due to improper use might be able to be repaired.
The customer will be informed about this and will be provided with the cost of components and repair. Upon acceptance of the repair by the customer, Point of View will charge the repair cost accordingly.
